MŪRU (pronounced "moo-ru") is a Minneapolis-based modest fashion brand proudly owned, led and run by Muslim women who share a love of fashion and modesty.

We started MŪRU to overcome the cliché that modest fashion is limited to dull clothing or simple abayas. We believe all Muslim women deserve stylish clothing as much as any other consumer and this belief drives us to design and create beautiful pieces which make modesty vibrant, trendy and chic.

MŪRU is derived from the Wollof language translating to "covered" and inspired by the confidence that comes from feeling graceful, comfortable, and elegant.

Our pieces feature affordable, timeless, comfortable, and essential everyday pieces which can be dressed up or down, empowering women to express their style and individuality without compromising their belief.
